  1. ok about the "there are no women on the team!" stuff:

what is more important? good developers, or a good male/female ratio ?

because what you guys do with your "there should 100% be women" means, that the Devs ALWAYS have to hire women

(in my country, there even is a law that a certain percentage of women must be present in certain jobs ….)

And what does that mean ?

If they are looking for, let's say a 3D Modeler, a Concept artist and someone to implement it in engine, they have to at least give 1 of those positions to a woman.
But what if they only find qualified men at this specific time, and only women that have less experience, knowledge etc ??
well, they still have to give one job to a woman.
Which means, they lose quality in at least one of those 3 positions, which means, they either have a bad concept, a bad model and texture, or bad implementation.

OFC this also goes in the other direction. if they only find women that were really good in those positions, they would lose quality IF they would hire a man.
But in this case, nobody's going to cry about the fact that they hired no male person.

please, take your feminism, and throw it out of the window. All you feminists are, is butt hurt, and that to a degree that it becomes harmful.

  2. I know you have to deal with the realities of who gets computer science and game design degrees, but I'm seeing a serious lack of non-white and non-male perspectives among the team. Not sure there's anything that can really be done about that, it's just sad.

  3. First prize winner was like.
"Oh please let me be 2nd…..Damn it. You can keep the 2nd hand, old leather jacket,          I wouldn't wear for a bet. And give me a shiny new Idris"
So this just goes to show. Its not always good being first. Chuckle.
1st place winner, you have mine, and a million others deepest sympathy.

  4. There is nothing wrong with there not being a woman on the dev team. I don't understand why people are hung up on it. They just hired people and it turned out that way it's not like they forbid women from being on the dev team.

  5. I would've been pretty happy if you had shown the winners entrys. :/ (I have not entered the competition, I'm just interested)
